I'm attracted to nothing but winter wear and Zara Kids.

(I love our twin outfit that I got from New Look!!! Melt my heart!)

X'MAS/EVE

X'Mas is all about spreading the love and sharing the happiness.

I wished we could spend a white Christmas in UK,
gazing at the lighting/decorations put up by Harrods,
having our scrumptious Christmas dinner beside the fire place,
lying our presents under the real Christmas tree...
Sounds like a warm storybook like scene yeah?

But 2008's Christmas in Sg is just as great I would say, awesome in fact.
I guess sometimes it's the people you spend it with that counts.

Countdown Party
Main: Log Cake. Beef. Ham. Pizza.
Lacking the turkey yo!!! (Inside joke)

X'Mas Day
Jonas Bro. live concert repeat on MTV
Connected on DVD
Zara's year-end sale
X'Mas Lightings/Street performance in town
Dinner at Long Beach Dempsey

Hehehe I'm gg to tempt you with a mouth-watering dish just like Eve always does.

My fav crabbbb!!!!

Seafood was yummm!!!
Even the fish tasted exceptionally good (p.s. i hate fish).
Well, good food but poor management.
They did not prepare the table even though we've made a reservation
and they took eons to serve the food.
Plus the air-conditioner was leaking. :(

Late-Night's @ NYDC

They played all my fav tracks and gave me 5 chocolate-chip cookies because they ran out of marshmallows for our hot chocolate. So nice of them.
:):):):)

In conclusion,
I LOVE X'MAS!!!!

X
'MAS

Can't wait for tomorrow night's X'MAS Countdown/Party!!!
Turkey!!! Pizzas!!! Chocolate!!! Attack!!!

Received my first prezzie from my uncle today!
He wants me to keep it till Boxing Day though. Hahaha.
I can't express more about my love for Christmas can I?

To avoid the crowd at Orchard Rd, we rather do our shopping in front of our laptops.
In comfort.

Okay, I'm going back to watch my HK drama with turtle. Hehehe.
I love crime shows because I'm smarter than all those dumb detectives.
Okay just kiddin'.

Cantonese is so much more interesting than Chinese.
Lao niang Cantonese very good okay, don't play play. :)

Byezzz.

HK Disneyland

Photobucket

Disney Express!!!
If only our plain boring MRTs can have such designs,
everyone will be attracted to ride on it for sure.
So much for promoting public transport. =.=
The effect of 100 campaigns can't be compared to this.

Infinity and beyond!!!

The rides are not impressive at all compared to Japan's
but the fireworks display is certainly one of the best I've ever seen.

twilight

Twilight

was disappointing.

It was way too cheesy and quite a bore until the last part where the action comes in. And Robert Pattinson is definitely not the guy/vampire that every girl would die for. Despite all the critics about him taking up the role, I've decided to watch before saying anything and indeed it is like how it sounds.

Furthermore, there were two very annoying girls beside me talking non-stop throughout the entire show, repeating the actions/ conversations of the characters like the other party can't see it for herself. =.=

All in all, it was a waste of my weekend ticket. Oh well perhaps I'm just not into fantasy/ romance. Vampire-human love relationships are just ... not for me.

Still, it was nice catching up with MY and Nicole. Miss them alotzzz! And there was much laughter over family dinner. :)

I LOVE HK

I'm back!!!
With about a thousand photos again. Wow me!
But I'm smart to bring along two cameras this time.

It seems that I've been away for really long, but it's never long enough because coming back is really scary. Sigh about 16 hrs ago I was still frantically looking for a bakery with freshly baked egg tarts ready to pack and go along Nathan Rd and now I'm back in front of my table with piles of unfinished homework.

Time really flies. Let's hope that we'll be graduating in no time and before I know it, I'll be on the next plane to Hokkaido.

P.S. Photos will be uploaded below, according to chronological order. Soon.

Symphony of Light

You just have to see it yourself because it's indescribable.
It certainly lives up to its name to be the "World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show" as claimed by the Guinness World Records. After my second visit, I'm even more sure that HK's night view is better than that of Shanghai even though Shanghai's has more historical value.

The pictures don't justify the beauty of the night view from the pearl tower so I've decided to only upload one.

Caught this at Circus World and it was really E-R-A.
The most awesome/hair-raising/amazing circus performance I've ever seen. It set my heart racing and kept me at the edge of my seat through the entire performance. Although a few stunts were not successful on their first try but they still pulled it off in the end and it was just as impressive still.

From the site:

As a multimillion-dollar stunning acrobatic extravaganza, the first of its kind in China , ERA is a multimedia odyssey whose inspiration is a direct result of the combination of traditional Chinese acrobatic arts and modern technology. Just like Shanghai , ERA evolves through a constant collision between the past and future.

ERA is a love story, yet it is also a contemplation across the millennia, a fascination with that other dimension man has yet to conquer: time. ERA's acrobats are on a quest to find that tenuous point of balance, the intersection between X, Y and Z.

Not only will the audience be amazed by the acrobats' control and precision, they will be enchanted by the world that is created through the use of multimedia, technology, lighting and sound effects, elaborate costumes, original live music and a lot more.

As such, ERA can remain universal, without language or cultural barriers. A thousand-year-old gesture is worth a thousand emotions, a thousand images, a thousand words ……

Managed to get booked into The Great Tang Hotel Shanghai which is the designated hotel for 2008 F1 Chinese Grand Prix!!! :):):) But we were on a morning flight to HK the next morning so I had to get up at the crack of dawn and make my way down to the circuit just to catch a glimpse of it. It was a super long walk and there weren't any cabs because it was located quite far out town but it was all worth it. :)

Caught a performance featuring 千手观音 (like the above) and some of Hangzhou historical events/romantic stories. The well-known Kannon with one thousand arms was indeed impressive live. The effect and timing was just right which was hard to come by having perfect coordination between so many.

Perfect match

How often do you spend a few hundred bucks on tea leaves?
Extravagance but worth it I guess.
After all I hate caffeine.
