I'm bored to tears. What a contrast to last week. Today has been rather uneventful unlike other Saturdays. Stayed home for the whole afternoon. Caught Riddle of the Dead on Nat Geog and it totally disgusted me to no end with all the dissecting of mummies and corpses from thousands of years ago like what you usually do in Bio with frogs. But it was interesting to see them, they were so well-preserved that their facial features can still be seen quite clearly. The scientists/archaeologists could tell the story behind most of them and they were all important public figures/ royalties.
Perfect formula to preserving bodies = Body wrapped tightly in silk+ Mysterious ancient liquid (scientists have yet to figure out) + 20 coffins + Buried with charcoal + Buried with Clay + Buried with Soil
People say that Man is getting smarter with technology, but sometimes I beg to differ for the intelligence of the ancient people can be seen clearly from many aspects like how the Egyptians built the Pyramids without the use of cranes and created Math (though i hated them for this) and how the Chinese found the above solution to preserve bodies etc.
Afterwards, caught a bit of the Olympics and went off for dinner at Suntec. My brother was totally picking up a fight with me on the way. I really hate it when he's being such a loser. He totally spoiled my mood and I chose to remain silent for the entire dinner.
I'm going to visit Borders and get some reading materials tomorrow. It's been long since I've last bought a book, high time I get on with reading. :) And I refuse to get Breaking Dawn because everybody's reading it now. Prisoner of Birth would be a good choice I guess since it's claimed to be the most powerful work of Archer since Kane and Abel.
Okay I'm ending this extremely boring post with a drawing from someone lame while counting down for 080808. Hahaha.
