Why? Why? Why?
Parents were desperately finding their children despite knowing very clearly that they were already dead, they just had to take one last look at them.
With their homes reduced to rumble and losing their family, children had to squeeze in refuge camps with terrible living conditions.
Parents risking their lives to save a photo or anything that belonged to their children as their only memory.
I flipped through the Straits Times and saw the horrific tragedy that took place this week when we were all away in OBS. And then mom calls me to get out for dinner. We dined at Crystal Jade. I realized how lucky I'm was to have a shelter, to be able to dine at restaurants, to have my wants pleased most of the time. I didn't earn any of this, my parents did. They provided the best for me. We're just born lucky, what we have now is more than what we deserve. We're not obliged to anything, so just be thankful.
What's OBS compared to what all these people had gone through? But we all have to go through obstacles and difficulties to realize how strong we can be. It is the heat that melts the wax but it is also the same heat that lights up the candle?
Just what can we do to help them?
