Great, it's 3.42am on a Monday morning. :DWe had dinner at Long Beach earlier last evening but we didn't manage to get a table at the Dempsey Rd branch though we called in for a reservation the night before, so we settled for the IMM one. My aunt is determined to dine at the one at Dempsey Rd and she's making reservations for next week now I think, which appears to be rather exaggerating right! Ha!
I swear I've changed my opinion of Jeff.A after Kane and Abel. Well, Shall We Tell the President wasn't that great, so you can't blame me right. :D Actually, Dean Koontz's not bad either, just that I don't like his abrupt endings. It either means a sequel or a lousy ending. But the plot's worth reading.
What's the last thing you want to do before you leave this world?
To die without any regrets.
I seriously think Curtis Fenton was being very !@#$%^&, why must he wait for the other party to die before sending out the letter?! If Abel had received the letter just one day earlier, he would have had the chance to thank his benefactor. If Kane had received the letter that morning before he passed away, he would have understood the way he was being treated by Abel through all these years. I hate the ending. Jeff.A was so cruel, not to have given Kane the chance to see his son after ten years with his daughter-in-law, Florentyna and his lovely grandchildren. It was so unfair, just when he was willing to accept them and was so excited about their arrival. He longed for them to greet him but when they did, he could no longer respond. Abel was also robbed off the chance to thank someone who has given him his second child, the Baron Group. Though I'm on Kane's side throughout the whole story but Abel's perseverance was also very very commendable. :DD
Sorry, I guess this post must have been boring if you have yet to read the book, but I hope this has given you the "push" to read. Haaa. :D
Okay, I shall get to sleep now. Tomorrow's the last day of the year, so do enjoy the last of 2007. The most important thing I'll be looking forward in 2008 is 080808. Haa, not too much on the olympics side but well, to my birthday. Dad celebrated his with Live Earth 070707, so it's my turn. :D
William Lovell Kane.
