STOMPer Irene said these students hogged the table and were studying at a crowded cafe, as a long queue formed outside. "First, it was the fast-food restaurants, then the airport and now, Ikea!" the STOMPer said in an email today (5 Oct). "I was at IKEA today for lunch. As we all know, there is always a long queue, especially at lunch time, waiting to be seated. "Then I saw these schoolgirls with books open, a cup of cold drink and a couple of chicken wings," she said. "Imagine, they were there when I was queueing and still there after I finished my food. No need to think hard which school - how many schools in Tanglin Road?." -------------------------------------------- How many people actually does this out there huh? Many just get a cup of cofee from starbucks and they can hog onto the seats for the whole entire day with their laptops and sometimes even charging them! However, my point is not because everyone is doing that now, it is right. They might be in the wrong, however they might not be aware that there is a long queue and nobody kindly walk over to request that they leave. It is not right just to judge them like that and what more the WHOLE SCHOOL! Furthermore, they were merely maximizing their time while having their meal there as exams were round the corner. During exam periods, all the libraries are so packed and there ain't even a decent place to sit and study, so that drove them to the cafes probably. Many students actually do that if you would to open your eyes and look around, so if you want to defame a school just like that, I guess you have list down almost every school in Singpaore. And lastly, there is certainly NO need to try and be nice to save our school's reputation by giving obvious hints like "how many schools in Tanglin Road?". What's the point huh?If you want to criticize us, please do it openly. Thank you. |
